Beginning October 20, players can compete in Gran Turismo 5 Prologue in a special online race where the stakes are very high. The online event, called "Tanner Foust Racing Competition," will challenge players to get the best lap time with the Nissan Fairlady Z on the London city track, using professional driving physics. This online event runs through midnight PST, November 2, at which time the winner will be chosen according to the official contest and eligibility rules.

The player with the best time at the end of the competition will be flown, along with a guest, to the Red Bull Drifting World Championships, a Formula Drift event. On top of receiving two VIP passes to the event, the winner will also get to meet and race against Tanner Foust one-on-one in Gran Turismo 5 Prologue, and ride shotgun while Tanner Foust takes some practice laps around the drift track. Second and third place winners will also receive special prize packages. See official rules for details.

The Red Bull Drifting World Championships, a Formula Drift event, take place on November 15 and 16 in Long Beach, California.
