Drive the part, dress the part: Get the Gran Turismo® look with the launch of the first official clothing line
Take Gran Turismo from the driving seat to the dressing room with a sleek range of clothing inspired by the world’s best selling driving simulator - now available to buy online at shop.eu.gran-turismo.com
Sony Computer Entertainment Europe, in partnership with Target Entertainment Group and musterbrand LLC , today swaps the racetrack for the catwalk with the launch of the world’s first official Gran Turismo® clothing range. The sleek new capsule collection blurs the line between real and virtual taking its inspiration from the multi-million selling driving simulator franchise Gran Turismo® on PlayStation®3 (PS3™).
Gran Turismo is renowned for its polished graphics, smooth style and sleek lines; core values that have been the inspiration for the team behind the elegant collection. The collection uses clean, simple cuts paired with a steely monochrome colour palette and high performance fabrics to capture the essence of Gran Turismo and its marriage of performance and style.
With an exciting initial range of casual everyday wear, fans can now take the Gran Turismo look on the road. The limited edition launch collection will be available to browse and buy exclusively online across Europe at the Gran Turismo boutique - shop.eu.gran-turismo.com
Kazunori Yamauchi, President of Polyphony Digital Inc. and creator of the Gran Turismo series said:
“Aesthetic ideals, linked with precision engineering and meticulous design, is at the heart of Gran Turismo - and we are always looking for new ways to extend these core values to bring the virtual and real worlds together. This range does just that and is a beautiful interpretation of everything that Gran Turismo encapsulates.”
The range has been brought to life by Target Entertainment Group and ‘musterbrand’, part of Hermes-OTTO International, a design group focused on bringing digital creations to the real world. Knut Jochen Bergel, CEO and President of musterbrand commented:
“Gran Turismo is one of the most exciting brands in digital entertainment with a huge and loyal fan base. We are delighted to be working with Sony Computer Entertainment Europe and Target Entertainment Group on this project - and look forward to bringing the GT clothing experience to millions of Gran Turismo players.”
The Gran Turismo range launches following 2010’s release of the most hotly anticipated title to date, Gran Turismo® 5 for PlayStation®3 (PS3™). Boasting more than a thousand cars, a global community of racers, the world’s most iconic racetracks and 3D capability, this is the drive of a lifetime. Gran Turismo 5 is available now, only on PlayStation 3.
Don’t miss out on the limited edition collection, available exclusively in UK, Ireland, Spain, France, Italy, Finland, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Germany, Luxembourg, The Netherlands, Belgium, Switzerland, Austria, Portugal, and Poland. Visit the Gran Turismo Boutique at shop.eu.gran-turismo.com
